So funny story, Karlee’s sister married my cousin just last year. And get this, when she booked us for her wedding this October we had no idea!
Being in the wedding industry, located in a city very far from where I’m from, when things like this happen I can’t help but just smile about them. It doesn’t get much better than being able to photograph a family that just got welcomed into your family’s wedding.
Karlee and Lorence have such a sweet engagement story, and you have to know it involved Charleston. Charleston is their little get away from Columbia, so just like Asheville has become to me and my husband, Charleston has become a part of their story.
In fact we met in the exact place they got engaged, The Battery. Unfortunately the sweeping branch Lorence asked Karlee to marry him on has since been destroyed, thanks to hurricanes, but photographing them in the park wasn’t any less magical. We enjoyed every minute of The Battery, Charleston Engagement Session with Karlee and Lorence.
Their engagement session was the exact reason why we love to have an engagement session before your wedding! We got to know them both as individuals and as a couple so well! We loved how fun and open to just being their natural selves they were. We walked around downtown and would stop in pretty alley ways, off the walkway by the beach and ending at Waterfront Park.
We can’t wait for their wedding in early October!
