A couple of months ago I got the opportunity to work with some great wedding vendors in the Savannah area. Including the venue, Savannah Botanical Gardens. The gardens was created back in the 80’s and includes naturalistic and formal plantings. One of my favorites was the rose gardens, which couldn’t be missed.
The venue includes the Reinhouse, which is a farm house which can be rented along with the property where bride, groom and bridal party have separate rooms to get ready in. The property also includes two fountains and bungalows that are the perfect place for bride and groom portraits, or to place your cake under.
My inspiration for the shoot was bohemian naturalist. I wanted to have a bohemian vibe but focus on the natural elements that Savannah has to offer. The color scheme included pale, neutral pinks, greenery and gold.
The Topiary created a bohemian styled cake, with a naked cake top. The cake table included gold sprayed palm leaves to pull in the gold accent.
The wedding dress and bridal accessories were courtesy of Mary Elizabeth Bridal and Adele Amelia Bridal. The dress had the most magnificent and romantic train. It was one of my favorite details of the shoot.
If you are looking for a small wedding venue, low key I wouldn’t pass on touring the Savannah Botanical Gardens. Looking for more styled shoot inspiration, check out Soho South Cafe Savannah Wedding Venue.
