The Grayson’s came from all over and met in Savannah to celebrate their Mother’s 65th Birthday. And I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than getting photos taken at one of the most beautiful parks in Savannah, Forsyth Park.
Their family session started with large family photos, then we broke off into the, now three families that joined us.
Kids don’t always cooperate for photoshoots, especially after the 30 minute mark of standing there smiling, or trying to smile. We tried some goofy photos for the kids, and then we moved on to action shots at the park.
I don’t do this at every family session, but sometimes you just have to make the best of the area you are in. We spent the rest of the shoot running around the two playgrounds at Forsyth Park, swinging and going down the slide, a kids dream come true, or at least some!
We ended the shoot following along as they were on their way to their next stop on their trip. I captured them walking down, enjoying the park views and just doing their thing, naturally.
Even though we weren’t able to get every photo with the kids they imagined, somehow candid shots of a brother and sister’s kids playing together and loving up on each other somehow just seemed even more priceless than a posed, smiling family shot.
Here’s to the Grayson’s! I hope your vacation brought more happiness and fun than you could have imagined. And I hope your Savannah, Forsyth Park family session was memorial forever.
