We had so much fun this weekend exploring Charleston with Izze, Bladen and their dog Finn. Nothing excites us more than getting to not only photograph an engagement session, but an engagement session where the couple includes their dog. We might just be a tad dog obsessed!
Izze and Bladen are the sweetest couple, and we loved getting to spend some time with them getting to know them as individuals and as a couple. Izze and Bladen met through mutual friends during a spring break trip (for Bladen) in Charleston, South Carolina. We loved their story because it reminded Randy and I of our love story too. Most of their relationship has also included some distance.
They spent the early years of dating living far from each other having to travel back and forth to spend time together. We can’t wait for Izze to get to move to the same city as Bladen at last! Randy and I know how much we loved that part of the marriage deal.
So now for the big story, how did Bladen propose? Izze and Bladen took a trip up to Bladen’s family mountain house to celebrate their 5-year anniversary. Izze got to answer yes to spending her life with Bladen (yet another thing we have in common with them, getting engaged mountainside!).
We were so thrilled to capture their engagement session throughout the French Quarters in Charleston. They choose Chalmers Street and we couldn’t have had more fun with them.
We can’t wait to be there to watch them get married at Boone Hall Plantation in September!
